The Double Dorje, also known as the Vishvavajra, is a powerful symbol in Buddhist tradition representing stability, protection, and the unshakable foundation of enlightenment. Formed by four dorjes joined at the centre, it extends in the four cardinal directions, symbolising completeness, balance, and the infinite nature of awakened wisdom.
The Double Dorje is often associated with spiritual strength and harmony, embodying the union of wisdom, compassion, and universal truth. It is believed to create a sense of grounding and protection, helping to stabilise the mind during meditation and spiritual practice.
Its symmetrical form reflects the interconnectedness of all things and the balance between the physical and spiritual worlds. Using or meditating with the Double Dorje can serve as a reminder of inner stability, clarity, and the indestructible nature of the awakened mind, encouraging a deep connection with peace, awareness, and spiritual transformation.
