This book presents a brief history of Gangchen Choepeling Monastery in Tibet.
It was established in the 15th century by Panchen Zangpo Tashi and flourished for over five hundred years. It was particularly well known for the practice of tantric traditions.
Lama Gangchen Rinpoche born in the nearby village of Trakshuk in 1941, was recognised as the reincarnation of the founding lama of the monastery. Lama Gangchen never forgot his profound commitment to this monastery and regardless of his worldwide travels was able to rebuild it and bring its ancient traditions back to life.
